A recent information and message by the school authorities of St. John Whitehall, Pohkseh had notified parents to pay at one shot school fees and stated that students whose fees are not paid up to date will be struck off from the school register and would be barred from appearing in the examinations.
This is a gross violation of a child’s right to education just because such schools deem fit to charge a full fee for three months is a great injustice when online and WhatsApp classes are held minus any physical presence.
In view of the prevailing situation there are parents who may not be able to afford such fees at a short notice. Hope good sense prevails in such schools and that the State education department authorities take note of such strictures.
