As part of 91st Anniversary celebrations of Indian Air Force, Headquarters Eastern Air Command is organizing an Air Display by air warriors over Umiam Lake on October 20.
PRO Defence, Wing Commander Sreeprakash J said that the air show is part of the IAF public outreach initiative.
The air display will comprise a Flypast by ALH & Chinook helicopters, Dornier transport aircraft, SU-30 and Rafale fighter jets, he said.
The aircraft will carry out formation flying and other extraordinary aerial maneuvers demonstrating exceptional flying skills and professionalism.
The grand finale would be the helicopter formation flying display by the Sarang Helicopter Display Team, which is acknowledged as one of the best helicopter display teams in the world.
The Full Dress Rehearsal (FDR) for the air show will be conducted on October 17 from 9: 15 am.
