Shillong, Sep 17: Education Minister Lahkmen Rymbui on Thursday inaugurated a food fest organised by the Evangelical Teachers Fellowship of India (ETFI), Meghalaya Chapter, celebrating culinary traditions and fellowship among Christian teachers.
Addressing the gathering, Rymbui highlighted the role of teachers, parents and society in shaping the younger generation, saying teaching goes beyond the classroom and is a shared responsibility.
He urged teachers and parents to help youth navigate the digital world, distinguish fact from misinformation, and use social media and technology responsibly.
Stressing hope and encouragement, the minister said society must ensure young people feel inspired to recognise their potential and contribute meaningfully.
He appreciated the ETFI Meghalaya Chapter for organising the event and wished it success in nurturing teachers and the wider community.
