In a boon to the residents of Lyngkien, Community and Rural Development minister Hamletson Dohling on Saturday laid the foundation stone for the construction, metalling, blacktopping and providing cement concrete pavement of internal roads at the village.
The estimated cost for the construction of the 1.70km road is Rs 3.15 crore.
Dohling said that construction work will begin on Monday.
On the same day, the minister laid the foundation stone for construction of the Lyngkien Mylliem Government Lower Primary School at an estimated cost of Rs 37 lakh.
Earlier, Dohling informed that the government has given sanction for construction of four schools in Mylliem constituency at Lummawbah, Nongumlong, Nongpyiur and Lyngkien.
