The All Jaiñtia Muster Roll Workers and Labour Union has appealed to the Chief Minister to release pending wages of daily minimum wage workers in Meghalaya.
The union, led by its general secretary H Dkhar and adviser Khroo L Pariat, requested that the wages for June 2025 and pending arrears from October 2023 be credited at the earliest.
The release of wages would enable workers from the Niamtre indigenous faith to celebrate Behdieñkhlam and other festivities without financial burdens. The union also urged the government to release wages before the upcoming Durga Puja and Christmas celebrations.
