The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that Meghalaya and most parts of North East India will likely endure light to moderate rains that could sometimes be accompanied by thunderstorms with lightning over the next four days, till August 27.
IMD forecasts very heavy downpours (115.6 mm-204.5 mm) over the north-eastern states during the period. It also said that some parts of the region may also witness heavy showers (64.5 mm-115.5 mm) in isolated areas during this forecast period.
