The Principal Accountant General of Meghalaya, Shefali S Andaleeb, called on new Meghalaya Governor Phagu Chauhan at Raj Bhavan here today.
During their meeting, the PAG apprised the Governor about the functions discharged by the offices of the PAG. She also briefed him on the status of the audit of the three autonomous district councils, which are audited by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India under the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution. Andaleeb presented Chauhan with the latest reports of the district councils.
Meanwhile, Led by Maj Gen Gagan Deep, Additional Director General of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) North East Region, a team of Group Commanders today met with the Governor at his official residence.
The ADG briefed the Governor about the activities of the NCC in the North Eastern region and its future expansion plans. He also highlighted the performance of Meghalaya’s cadets and specifically the pursuits of Suo Risaiba Laloo, a student of Synod College who was adjudged the Best Commander during the NCC PM Rally held at Cariappa Parade Ground in New Delhi on January 28.
