Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong has said that if the reports of regrouping of the outlawed Garo National Liberation Army (GNLA) is true then the police are ready to combat the problem.
According to Tynsong, who holds the Home portfolio, even last year there were such reports of the GNLA regrouping but when the government investigated these rumours proved untrue.
“Police are proactive and we will make sure that regrouping does not take place,” he said, adding that intelligence is being strengthened as well.
