The government will carry out a pilot project of Aadhaar verification in selected areas of Shillong and Mawsynram, it was informed through an official press release today.
The selected areas are Mawsynram, Jhalupara, Mawbah, Upper Mawprem, Lumdiengsoh, Lumpyngngad, Lumsohphoh, Pynthorumkhrah, Demseiniong, Madanrting and Lawmali (Polo).
All residents above the age of 18 in these areas are requested to keep their original documents ready, namely Aadhaar card, EPIC (as proof of identity and address), passport (proof of identity and address), PAN card (proof of identity), driving licence (proof of address), whenever the officials from the government visit the area.
