Cabinet Minister Paul Lyngdoh has blamed drug addicts for the recent stray incidences of burning of two-wheelers in Mawprem.
Lyngdoh, who represents West Shillong constituency, said these anti-social acts are linked to rising cases of drug addiction in the city.
According to Lyngdoh, as per information received, drug peddlers and addicts tend to act violently against other peddlers or addicts, leading to such stray incidents.
Informing that he has already taken up the matter with police, Lyngdoh said that they would hold a meeting with the Dorbar Shnongs and at the highest level in the police department to examine the matter.
