The NPP received Rs 7,47,95,975 from 35 donors last year.
This is as per the financial statement and audit report for 2022-23 submitted by the party to the Election Commission.
The financial statement and audit report signed by NPP treasurer Mehtab C A Sangma was dated November 22, 2023.
Among the 35 donors, the highest contribution was from one Rimiful Shylla who donated Rs 4 crore to the party.
The second highest donation was from Ian Samuel who contributed Rs 75 lakh followed by Dominic Sutnga and Meghalaya Cement Limited (Topcem) who donated Rs 50 lakh each.
The third highest contribution to the NPP was from Mark L. Stone who donated Rs 35 lakh.
Monjar Ali from Patharkata, West Garo Hills donated Rs 20 lakh to the party.
The rest of the donations were in the range of Rs 1 lakh to Rs 7.5 lakh.

It may be mentioned that a few days back, there were media reports that Meghalaya Cement Limited which is the manufacturer of Topcem cement brand, has donated Rs 50 lakh to the NPP in November 2023.
Photo of the letter, which went viral in the social media, stated that the company made a “voluntary political contribution” to the NPP through a cheque drawn on State Bank of India, Guwahati Branch.
As per the letter dated November 10, 2023, the cement company located at Thangskai in East Jaiñtia Hills made the contribution in compliance with the conditions prescribed under Section 182 of the Companies Act, 2013. It was signed by Amit Agarwal, the director of the company.
