Ahead of the February 27 Assembly elections, the FKJGP has asked all its members not to take part in election campaigns for any party or candidate in the State.
“Members of the Central Executive Committee, circles and units should not take part in any election campaign for any party or candidate. The organisation does not want to meddle in electoral activities. Election is a matter of personal decision by a voter and the FKJGP should not play any role in the victory or defeat of any party or candidate,” FKJGP general secretary Eldie N. Lyngdoh said in a statement issued today.
He also said that any member of the FKJGP who wanted to take part in an election campaign should first resign from the organisation.
“If any member is found taking part in election activities he or she will be immediately expelled from the FKJGP,” Lyngdoh said.
