Mariamma Thomas has taken charge as the new Chief Postmaster General of the North East Postal Circle, it was informed today.
The circle comprises 4,478 post offices spread across Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Manipur, Mizoram and Nagaland with Shillong as its headquarters.
Thomas is a 1994 batch officer of the Indian Postal Service and brings with her a wealth of experience from her previous assignments in Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Goa, a press release stated.
