Community leaders and activists gathered in Williamnagar on Saturday to announce the formation of the United A•chik Socio-Economy Justice Forum (UASEJF), a new non-governmental organisation dedicated to combating corruption and advocating for social and economic justice.
This initiative comes in response to growing concerns about corruption and inequity affecting local communities and aims to create a platform for change and accountability, a press release said today.
“We believe that everyone deserves access to justice and that together we can build a society where fairness prevails,” said Dimchang Dwarka M Sangma, the newly elected president of UASEJF.
Assisting him in running the organisation are vice-president Sengba N Marak, general secretary Jackiqus D Sangma and seven other executive members.
