The North-East Indigenous Peoples Association (NEIPA) has issued a strong condemnation of the “unfortunate incident” that took place in Manipur on May 4, which has led to days of deadly violence in the state.
Through a release sent yesterday, NEIPA president Stalyn Ingti called on all indigenous peoples “to maintain peace and harmony”. It also urged the state and central governments to do what they can in order to achieve a return to normalcy in Manipur.
