The North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS) successfully conducted the nursing officers’ recruitment examination today with no disruption.
NEIGRIHMS director Prof. Nalin Mehta said the examination went on smoothly. “The prevailing situation between Assam and Meghalaya did not affect the movement of hundreds and hundreds of students from Shillong who appeared for the examination in Jorhat,” he said.
Mehta informed that a few students did not attend the examination and overall the percentage of absentees has been uniformed.
He said since the centre in Shillong has limited capacity, the other candidates had to be accommodated in Jorhat. The examination was also held in Nagaland and Imphal centres.
