NEHU vice chancellor Prof. Prabha Shankar Shukla, met Union Minister of Education Dharmedra Pradhan in New Delhi today to discuss matters related to the development of the university and to bring back NEHU to its former glory.
Prof. Shukla appraised the minister about the development work in NEHU which took place in last one year which includes the setting up of various centres like Design Innovation Centre, Office of the International Affairs, the IPR centre, MOOCs Centre, Research Cell among others.
He also informed the minister about the recruitment process of the teaching posts which will be completed in three to four months followed by the recruitment process of the non-teaching staff.
In an effort to expedite the developmental work in NEHU, the vice chancellor discussed the budget requirement of the university with Pradhan which was positively responded by the minister.
