The North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) has rescheduled the under-graduate even term end semester examination from May 25 to June 2.
The decision was taken after concerned teachers have alleged anomalies in the functioning of the NEHU examination department. The teachers had questioned how the university can schedule and notify examination when the 90 actual teaching days criteria was not fulfilled as per the ordinance.
NEHU vice chancellor in-charge, Prof S. B. Prasad yesterday chaired a meeting with all the principals and took a decision to reschedule the examination since colleges needed more days to wind up the teaching exercise for the semester. This was because there was a delay in the start of the session.
The meeting also decided that classes in colleges will continue till May 31, 2022 and the closing date for publication of all UG final semester results is July 10, 2022.
