Vice-Chancellor Prof PS Shukla of North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) met with dignitaries and officials at the 3rd North East India Festival, which was held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
On October 28 he had the opportunity to meet and engage with representatives of Vietnamese universities and others. According to a NEHU press release today, “a step has been taken towards implementing NEHU’s internationalisation in the bordering nations.”
Shukla gave a brief presentation in the programme highlighting research activities under the Indian Knowledge System covering a wide range of subjects, including science, engineering, technology, health and wellness through ayurveda, yoga, traditional medicinal practices, drama, arts and aesthetics and folk culture, environment and ecology and their preservation, intellectual property rights (IPR) in Indian traditions and Indian Traditional Knowledge Base.
He also apprised the gathering that India will leverage its strengths in innovation and research to advance the social welfare and economic advancement of all parties involved, both domestically and internationally. With a focus on research and innovation, NEHU will collaborate with partner nations to develop robust, long-lasting, systemic ties through bilateral and multilateral projects.
