Shillong, Aug 18: Nazareth Hospital, Shillong participated in ‘Mission 1500 – Restoring Hope, Empowering Futures’ in flood-affected Sivasagar, Assam.
Nazareth Hospital joined AARO Assam’s Mission 1500 in Sivasagar to provide healthcare services to flood-hit communities.
Led by Dr. Debomallya Bhuyan, President, AARO Assam, the mission brought together doctors, volunteers and partner organisations to deliver holistic medical care across multiple locations.
As part of the outreach, 1,500 primary school children were also supported with school bags, books, notebooks and educational materials to help them restart their studies.
“This was more than a health camp—it was an expression of our enduring commitment “To Love, To Heal, To Serve”, standing with communities in times of need,” the hospital said in a release.
