Congress candidate from Mawlai constituency Marbud Dkhar today said that his contest this time is against the ‘high levels”.
Dkhar who filed his nomination paper today said, “I am contesting the parties of the high levels – NPP and UDP. These parties are backed by contractors and businessmen. But I am not scared at all because I got the full support of the low levels who are the people of Mawlai constituency. The constituency comprises labourers, farmers, cabbies, butchers etc and they are the ones who are supporting me.”
He also thanked the Election Commission for directing all candidates to declare the criminal cases pending against them.
“The NPP candidate from Mawlai is among those who have pending criminal cases against him. People should think properly before casting their votes. They should elect only candidates who are clean and not those who are tainted and have criminal cases,” Dkhar said.
Stating that Congress will come back to power in the State, Dkhar also said that he would continue to raise his voice on issues concerning the State.
