A meeting of the Games Technical Conduct Committee (GTCC) of the Meghalaya State Olympic Association (MSOA) took place here today to prepare for January’s edition of the Meghalaya Games.
The meeting was chaired by MSOA working president and GTCC chairman John F Kharshiing and included MSOA general secretary Finely Pariat, Assistant Director of the Sports and Youth Affairs Department PB War Nongbri and other MSOA officials along with representatives of the 22 state sports associations.
The fifth edition of the Games will be held from January 15 to 20 in Tura, which will play host for the first time.
A previous organising committee meeting was held last week on November 14 in the office of the Director of Sports and Youth Affairs. Further meetings are being scheduled as part of the preparations for this sporting event.
A number of issues were discussed today, especially relating to the venues, arrival, departure, accommodation, venue preparations, internet availability, transportation of equipment, etc, a press release informed.
