After being denied permission to hold his election rally at the PA Sangma Stadium in Tura, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold the rally tomorrow morning at Alotgre cricket ground.
It may be mentioned that the State government has denied permission for holding Modi’s rally at the PA Sangma Stadium citing that it was not ideal for a huge rally.
Sources said that the authorities had suggested that the rally be held in Jengjal, which is approximately 30 kilometres away from Tura town.
However, the BJP decided to hold the rally at Alotgre ground in Tura.
During tomorrow’s rally, Modi will campaign for the BJP candidates from Garo Hills and also dwell on the party’s vision for Meghalaya.
Later in the afternoon, Modi will hold a campaign meeting at Khyndai Lad in Shillong where a large crowd is expected to attend. Entry of vehicles to the Khyndai Lad area will be restricted from 12 noon to 2:30 pm.
