Martin Luther Christian University (MLCU) was ranked 52 in the top hundred private universities in the country and number one in Meghalaya in the Education World (EW) India Higher Education Rankings 2022-23.
The university earned a score of 854. Under the EW ranking system, the universities are evaluated according to various parameters of higher education excellence, including competence of faculty, curriculum and pedagogy (including digital readiness), infrastructure and quality of leadership/governance, among other key factors.
MLCU Vice Chancellor, Dr TK Kharbamon and Registrar Dr Iwamon Laloo received the awards on behalf of the university at a function held at Hotel Leela Ambience in New Delhi yesterday.
“In the last several years, MLCU has consistently figured in the top ten percent of India’s best private universities in various rankings including India Today,” a statement from the university today said.
