The Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Student and Youth (JENESYS) 2023 is an exchange programme organised by the Japan International Cooperation Centre (JICE), which is scheduled December 12 to 19.
The central government has nominated eight from India, including a research scholar from NEHU’s Department of Management in Tura, Darilin Tang, as one of the delegates.
Tang, of Iooksi village in Jaintia Hills, is the only person from the North East going on the exposure tour, which will see her and the other delegates travel to Tokyo and other parts of Japan.
The main objective of this exchange programme is to promote mutual trust and understanding among the peoples of Japan and the Asia-Pacific region and to build a basis for future friendship and cooperation, to encourage an understanding of Japan’s economy, society, history, diverse culture, politics and diplomatic relations and to build networks in these fields.
