A teenager who went missing on Friday was found dead in a forest near a road in Ar Kilo under East Jaiñtia Hills district today.
The deceased, aged between 16-17 years from Pamrakmai village was a student of Wapung Secondary School. Police said that the teenager is suspected to have been murdered.
No traces of blood were recovered from the forest but her face bore wounds.
Police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
