A 31 year old woman who went missing from Nongmensong was found from Uttar Pradesh on Friday morning, sources informed.
Janice Angel Mary Sawian who reportedly went missing on July 1 at around 5 pm was found near a railway track.
The woman is still clueless how she reached Uttar Pradesh.
The family had filed an FIR at the Nongmensong Police Outpost after she failed to return home.
Sources informed that Uttar Pradesh police has taken the woman to the hospital to conduct a medical check up on her.
The girl’s family accompanied by personnel of Meghalaya police have left for Uttar Pradesh to bring her back to the state.
Meanwhile, police have also issued a hue and cry notice for the disappearance of Kangabam Sunita Devi (54), of Umpling Shillong since June 9, 2025.
According to police, Kangabam is the daughter of Kangabam Biren Singh. Police also said that the missing woman is mentally challenged, spoke Manipuri and Hindi and was wearing a pink top, pyjama and sandals at the time of her disappearance.
