Ri-Bhoi police informed today that tyres were burnt in the middle of a public road in Umsning overnight.
According to Ri-Bhoi Superintendent of Police, Jagpal Singh Dhanoa, unknown miscreants set fire to the tyres at around 3am this morning at Umsning on a Public Works Department road.
On receiving the information, Umsning police station personnel rushed to the spot and removed the burnt tyres. Further investigation is ongoing.
