The Meghalaya unit of the Indian Youth Congress, as in the rest of the country, will conduct internal membership and organisational elections.
The youth wing of the Congress Party will hold these elections at the Assembly, district and state levels to strengthen its grassroots base and uphold democratic values.
The nomination period will be from November 16 to 20, 2024, and membership registration is currently open through the “With IYC” mobile app.
Today’s announcement saw the presence of state party leaders, such as Ronnie V Lyngdoh, who said that the Congress is a dynamic organisation with various wings working together to strengthen the party’s core values.
State Congress working president Deborah C Marak affirmed that, in a democratic setup, the party is dedicated to conducting free and fair elections as a fundamental aspect of its structure.
