The Central government today released Rs 907 crore to Meghalaya as the third installment of tax devolution.
This is the net proceeds of Union taxes and duties released to the State for the month of June.
Totally, the Centre has released the third installment of tax devolution to states amounting to Rs 1,18,280 crore as against the normal monthly devolution of Rs 59,140 crore.
One advance installment in addition to the regular installment due in June is being released to the states to enable them to speed up capital spending, finance their development, welfare related expenditure and also to make available resources for priority projects and schemes.
