As a result of classes affected due to COVID-19 pandemic, Meghalaya government today decided to extend the academic calendar for schools in the state.
Additional chief secretary in-charge education department, Donald P Wahlang said the end dates for the extended academic session 2021-22 will be December 10, 2021 for pre-primary and February 25, 2022 for classes 1 to 12.
The selection test for SSLC examination will be conducted for both regular and private candidates during October-November while the final board examinations for both SSLC and HSSLC will be conducted during March-April, 2022, he said.
Schools are also asked to follow100 per cent syllabus for all levels whereas for classes 11 and 12 (Science and Commerce) the government said these will follow the CBSE pattern.
The schemes for internal assessment in Term I and II at secondary and higher secondary levels will be as per instructions by the executive chairman of the Meghalaya Board of School Education.
