Meghalaya Pavilion won a Silver medal for excellence in display during the 43rd India International Trade Fair (IITF) organised by the India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO).
The award was received by Meghalaya Pavilion Director, WG Momin on behalf of the Directorate of Information and Public Relations during a ceremony held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi today.
It may be mentioned that IITF was organized by the ITPO from November November 14 on the theme, “Viksit Bharat @2047”, that aligns with India’s vision of becoming a developed nation, highlighting progress, innovation and cultural heritage.
The trade fair was participated by different states, union territories, ministries and private enterprises from across India.
The departments representing Meghalaya at the IITF 2024 were Tourism, Commerce and Industries, Meghalayan Age Limited, based in New Delhi and the Directorate of Information and Public Relations as the nodal department.
Apart from government departments, eight units sponsored by the Directorate of Commerce and Industries drawn from various parts of the state also participated in the fair to promote indigenous products.
