The MDA government has appointed several former MLAs, former MDCs and leaders of its allies as chairmen and co-chairmen of its commissions and is spending huge amounts of money from the exchequer to pay them.
Former legislator Satto R. Marak has been appointed as co-chairman of Meghalaya State Government Programme Implementation and Monitoring Committee.
Similarly, former PDF leader Ivanlumlang Marbaniang has been appointed as co-chairman of the committee.
Both of them will enjoy the perks and facilities under Category A.
Fernandez R. Marak, Bhalanglin Kharlyngdoh, Radius Lapasam and Baiahunlang Makdoh have been appointed as vice chairmen of the committee with pay and facilities under Category B.
Meanwhile, Forward L. Mawlong has been appointed as co-chairmen of Meghalaya Commission on Resource Mobilisation. He is entitled to perks and facilities under Category A.
Former MDC Jansing M. Tynsong was appointed as the vice chairman of the commission. He is entitled to the perks and facilities under Category A.
Former MLA Justine Dkhar has been appointed as vice chairman of the commission. He will enjoy perks and facilities under Category B.
Former MDC Equator L. Nongrang was appointed as co-chairman of the Meghalaya State Development Reforms Commission under Category A.
Helping Phawa and Charansing Marak were made vice chairmen of the commission. They are entitled to pay and facilities under Category B.
