A man was found dead in Mawkyrwat market today.
Police were called at around 1:30pm and the deceased was identified as Tyngshainlang L Marshillong (30) of Pyndenspar, Jakrem.
During inquiry, the mother of the deceased informed that Marshillong had been consuming large quantities of alcohol for several days prior and had not eaten solid food since Saturday.
He left home yesterday evening and was last seen in the market in an inebriated state this morning at around 11am.
The body was taken to Mawkyrwat Civil Hospital to complete formalities before being handed over to family members, who had applied for a waiver of autopsy.
