Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong, who also holds charge of the Home Department, today urged the public and media to allow the investigation into the murder of Raja Raghuvanshi to take its course, stating that it would be premature to draw any conclusions at this stage.
“I can’t come to any conclusion. Let us see from all angles – not just the love angle, but beyond that as well. Right now I can’t say anything. Let the investigation be completed, and once that is done, I believe the truth will come out as it is,” said Tynsong.
The minister confirmed that the investigation remains active and ongoing. “As you’re aware, the court has now granted judicial custody to all five accused persons. The probe is still underway,” he added.
Tynsong also revealed that three more individuals – one recently arrested and two others already in custody – are expected to be transferred to Shillong for further investigation. “It has been found that they are linked to the killing of the late Raja Raghuvanshi,” he said.
