Raipur-based lawyer Fayzan Khan has announced that he is prepared to take on the case of Sonam, a prime accused in the murder of her husband, Raja Raghuvanshi.
In an email statement to Highland Post, the lawyer claims he was contacted and provided with her brother’s phone number when Sonam was kept at the Phulwari Sharif Police Station in Patna.
Khan, also known for filing a case against Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan, said his legal team met with Sonam’s family on Saturday to discuss the case details.
“Advocate Fayzan Khan will soon file his Vakalatnama, officially representing Sonam Raghuvanshi in this matter,” the statement reads.
“As a seasoned advocate with a proven track record, Advocate Fayzan Khan is committed to ensuring that justice is served in this high-profile case. His experience and expertise will undoubtedly play a crucial role in navigating the complexities of the case,” it said.
Khan also known as Mohammad Faizan Khan was in the spotlight due to his arrest in connection with a threat case involving Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan. He allegedly made a phone call to the Mumbai police station, threatening Shah Rukh Khan and demanding a ransom of Rs 50 lakh. However, Khan has claimed that his phone was stolen prior to the incident and that someone else made the threatening call using his device.
Khan also had a past grievance against Shah Rukh Khan, relating to the 1994 film Anjaam, in which he claimed the actor’s character made derogatory references to deer hunting. Recently, he issued a notice to King Khan in a misleading advertisement case.
