Labourers who had come to South Garo Hills as construction workers or miners have illegally settled in the district, the A’chik Conscious Holistically Integrated Krima (ACHIK) said today.
In a letter to the district Superintendent of Police, ACHIK said these alleged illegal settlers have been reported from Sibbari, Malikona Baghmara and Jadi Nongal. ACHIK asked the police to evict them immediately.
