The College of Agriculture at Kyrdemkulai was one of 13 affiliated colleges of the Central Agriculture University, Imphal, that participated in the recent 8th Intercollegiate Youth Festival cum Games and Sports Meet in Sikkim.
There were 38 students from the college (21 boys and 17 girls) led by three officials – Oinam Washington Singh (Scientist) as team manager, Ng Uma Devi (Assistant Professor) as lady team manager and Vinod Muktan (Assistant Registrar) as team coach.
Among 18 different cultural, arts and literary events as well as sports and games, the Kyrdemkulai college was able to bag various medals – first in solo light vocal and patriotic group song and second in men’s badminton, folk group song and poster making. This gave the college the runners-up position in the overall rankings.
