The Khasi Students Union (KSU) has decided to put up nine giant screens to enable football fans to tune into the Santosh Trophy final on Saturday evening between Meghalaya and Karnataka.
This is the first time that Meghalaya has reached the final of the Men’s National Football Championship and interest and expectations are high.
The match will be played in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Kick-off is at 9pm IST.
KSU general secretary Donald V Thabah informed that the giant screens will be placed at Mawlai (Basic School, Nongkwar), Mawkasiang (premises of the dorbar), Laban Iewdak, Lawsohtun Block 5, Nongmensong near SBI, Pohkseh near Children’s Hospital, Mawkyrwat at the premises of Ferdinand Iawphniaw near the Post Office and Umsning town auditorium and Nongpoh Sajer.
