The Jaintia Students’ Union (JSU) will hold a sit-in protest to demand urgent resolution to the ongoing academic disruption due to lack of classrooms in the region.
The union in a statement said the demonstration will be held on Wednesday at the Kiang Nangbah College junction.
It urged students who have not yet been allotted classes, as well as parents, to join the protest in solidarity.
The union has been demanding introduction of an evening section for the higher secondary level at the Kiang Nangbah Government College and morning section at the Government Boys’ HS School to address admission problems in the face of high pass percentage recorded in the board examination results.
