The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) Mukhla has planned to create awareness about the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP), 2020 in three blocks of West Jaiñtia Hills district.
Addressing a press conference today, JNV Principal Neeraj Kumar informed that the school teachers will visit schools in the Thadlaskeiñ, Laskeiñ and Amlarem blocks on rotation basis.
He said the school is in touch with the district administration and the DSEO and hoped that the students will not face difficulty in going through the change.
According to Kumar, teachers of JNV have 50 hours professional development course every year. With the Certificate in Professional Development of Teachers they are equipped to teach students as per NEP and through the school innovation council students are guided to prepare ideas and projects, which many of his students were even granted scholarships and to conduct further research.
He further said under “hubs of learning”, teachers and students exchange resources and make use of each other’s infrastructure not only in academics but in sports and other activities.
