Shillong, Aug 7: The Mairang Officers Club organised the forst Eastern West Khasi Hills District Inter-Office Futsal Tournament 2025, aiming to promote physical fitness among government employees from various departments.
The tournament, held at Vincent Futsal and Manga Futsal, features 25 men’s teams and 6 women’s teams from across the district. The opening ceremony was graced by Deputy Commissioner Anita Kharpor, who appreciated the officers club for initiating the tournament.
Superintendent of Police Dangsan Khyriem, Additional Deputy Commissioners A. Nongbri and M. Diengdoh, and other officers attended the event.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasised the importance of physical and mental fitness among government employees and wished the participating teams well.
The inaugural match was played between Team A of Mairang C&Rd Block and Mairang Treasury.
