The Government of India has announced a day of mourning tomorrow over the death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi in a helicopter crash.
“On the day of mourning, the National Flag will be flown at half-mast on all buildings where the National Flag is flown regularly and there will be no official entertainment on the day,” an official statement said.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said he was deeply saddened and shocked by the news of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi’s death, and sent his condolences to Raisi’s family and the people of Iran.
“India stands with Iran in this time of sorrow,” Modi said in a post on social platform X on Monday.
