Members of the Hynñiewtrep National Youth Movement (HNYM) today issued a three-day deadline to the Indradhanush Gas Grid Limited Meghalaya Company (IGGLM) to prepare all legal documentation ahead of setting up the gas pipeline at Nongrim Nong Ladaw under Raid Bhoilasa at Bhoirymbong block in Ri-Bhoi.
This demands of the pressure group were made after the sudden inspection of the organization to the site of implementation of gas pipeline allotted to the IGGLM at Nong Ladaw after finding that the company has failed to procure legal documents from the village and also from the competent authority of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC).
During the inspection, the pressure group met the project manager, Kashi Bishwanath, and also sought the information from him but he failed to comply with their queries.
“We are shocked to learn that, the agency has obtained the No Objection Certificate and Labourers Certificate from the office of the Raid Iapngar instead of obtaining the same from the Raid Bhoilasa since the areas which is proposed for the implementation of the gas pipeline falls under Raid Bhoilasa,” HNYM leaders said.
