The Hynñiewtrep National Youth Front (HNYF) West Jaiñtia Zone today sent back 22 labourers engaged in a road construction at Modop Nartiang.
The HNYF said that the migrant workers were engaged by the Dhar Construction company and do not have proper documents to avail labour license, trading license and others.
President of the pressure group H. W. Sutong said they had sent back the workers after a complaint was received from villagers, who reported that they felt unsafe around the workers, put up near the Myntang river.
