The Bramachari Mukundanand, representative of Jagatguru Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwarananda Saraswati has blamed the Shillong Press Club (SPC) for cancellation of the press conference related to the cow protection march or the ‘Gau Dhwaj Sthapana Bharat Yatra’.
“We have asked multiple times for written permission to hold a press conference from the press club of Shillong but we haven’t received it yet hence we are unable to hold a press meet,” Yogiraj Shailendra said in a Whatsapp press statement today.
Apologising for the inconvenience caused to the journalists of Shillong the group has also attached a press note about the rally against cow slaughter.
Shailendra said the nationwide rally is scheduled to begin from September 22 to October 26. He said the yatra to declare “Cow as Mother of the Nation” will be held in Shillong on October 2 where a sacred “Gau Dhwaj” will be installed.
