The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted isolated heavy rainfall in Meghalaya from tomorrow till August 8.
According to the IMD, a cyclonic circulation lies over northeast Assam at 0.9 km above mean sea level and the east-west trough now runs from the above mentioned deep depression over northeast Madhya Pradesh and adjoining south Uttar Pradesh to west Assam between 0.9 km & 4.5 km above mean sea level.
“Under its influence, thunderstorms/lightning with heavy rainfall is likely to occur from August 5 to 8 at isolated places over Meghalaya,” the IMD said.
