Governor Chandrashekhar H Vijayashankar has pledge support to two rape survivors from South Garo Hills district.
The Governor met with the families of the survivors at the Raj Bhavan today and extended financial support of Rs 50,000 each to help them during their challenging times.
A press statement from the Raj Bhavan said that the Governor has emphasised the government’s commitment to supporting victims of violence to get justice and ensuring their dignity and rights.
