Meghalaya Governor Phagu Chauhan today extended his deepest condolences to the families and friends of two distinguished former IAS officers, Sanford F. Khongwir and Don Kupar Dkhar, who passed away on October 14 and 15 respectively.
Dkhar and Khongwir were “exemplary public servants who dedicated their careers to the betterment of Meghalaya,” a press release from Raj Bhavan said today. “Their unwavering commitment and contributions to the state’s progress in various fields are deeply valued.”
Dkhar was described as open-minded and compassionate while Khongwir was efficient and sincere, which made them role models for countless public servants.
