The Meghalaya government is continuing the evacuation process of its students and other citizens from Manipur.
On social media, Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma said on Sunday that “students from Tura, Shillong and other locations studying in Manipur landed safely today and are being sent back home. Happy to see smiles and relief on their faces.”
He further informed that 70 more students “will be brought back home tonight”. A press release, meanwhile, stated that 69 Meghalayans will be brought back home on Monday.
